Cookie & Analytics Notice
This Notice explains the use of cookies, similar storage technologies, and analytics in applicable websites and Services operated by Underline LLC.
1. About This Notice
This Notice explains the use of cookies, similar storage technologies, and analytics in applicable websites and Services operated by Underline LLC.
It supplements our Privacy Policy.
The technologies used may differ between our company websites and products, including StaffPortal, Zentra, WebKiln, and PitStop.
2. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small files stored by a browser when a website is used.
Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, device identifiers, and software that stores or accesses information on a device.
A technology may be:
- First-party: Set or operated through the Service you visit.
- Third-party: Set or operated by another provider.
- Session-based: Generally retained for a browsing session.
- Persistent: Retained until its expiration or deletion.
Local storage may remain until the application or user removes it. Its lifetime is not necessarily the same as a cookie’s lifetime.
3. Purposes
3.1 Essential functions
Essential technologies support functions such as:
- Authenticating users.
- Maintaining requested sessions.
- Applying security controls.
- Preventing fraudulent or malicious activity.
- Routing requests and maintaining service reliability.
- Remembering privacy choices where applicable.
A technology is treated as essential only where its actual purpose and applicable law support that classification.
3.2 Preferences
Where enabled, preference technologies remember choices such as interface settings, language, or other selected options.
Whether consent is required depends on the technology’s purpose and applicable law.
3.3 Usage analytics
We use usage analytics to understand how people access and interact with the Services, identify errors, evaluate performance, and improve functionality.
Analytics may involve pages visited, features used, interaction events, device and browser characteristics, session information, and approximate location inferred from an IP address.
Depending on the implementation, analytics may be associated with a session, device, account, or organization. We do not describe analytics as anonymous unless the information meets the applicable legal standard.
3.4 Advertising
We do not use advertising trackers, sell personal information, or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We do not use analytics information or customer content to train artificial intelligence models.
4. Consent and Optional Technologies
Where applicable law requires consent, optional storage or access technologies must remain inactive until valid consent is obtained.
Where consent is requested, you must be able to make an informed choice and withdraw consent as required by applicable law.
Accepting our Terms of Service, continuing to browse, or failing to interact with a notice does not substitute for affirmative consent where affirmative consent is required.
A general preference to improve our Services does not make analytics technologies essential.
5. Managing Browser Storage
Most browsers allow you to inspect, block, or delete cookies and stored site data.
Browser controls may allow you to:
- Remove existing cookies.
- Block future cookies.
- Restrict third-party storage.
- Clear local and session storage.
- Apply different settings for particular websites.
Blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in or other requested functions.
Deleting site data may sign you out and remove stored preferences. A browser setting may affect only that browser or device.
Browser controls do not necessarily stop server-side processing or delete information already received by Underline. Applicable personal-data requests may be submitted using Section 10.
6. Privacy Signals and Analytics Requests
Because we do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, we do not conduct the advertising activities to which sale and targeted-advertising opt-outs ordinarily apply.
Where applicable law requires recognition of a qualifying opt-out preference signal, we honor it for the processing covered by that requirement.
A browser’s “Do Not Track” setting does not itself disable all service functions or analytics. It is distinct from legally recognized privacy preference signals.
You may email legal@underline.team to ask about analytics associated with your account or exercise an applicable objection, withdrawal, deletion, or opt-out right.
An email request is not a substitute for obtaining prior browser-level consent where that consent is legally required.
7. Providers and Disclosures
Providers may process technical and analytics information to support the purposes described in this Notice.
The relevant technology inventory must identify the actual providers and technologies used by each Service.
Providers processing information on our behalf are subject to applicable contractual requirements. Independent processing by third parties is governed by their own notices and applicable law.
Links to independent websites do not by themselves mean that those websites set cookies on our Services.
8. Technology Inventory
The inventory accompanying this Notice must identify, for each technology actually used:
| Required detail | Information to disclose | |---|---| | Technology | Cookie name, storage key, SDK, or other identifier | | Provider | Underline or the relevant third-party provider | | Service or domain | Where the technology operates | | Purpose | Its specific function | | Category | Essential, preferences, analytics, or another accurate category | | Information involved | Information stored, accessed, or transmitted | | Lifetime | Actual expiration or deletion criteria | | Controls | How consent or another applicable choice is managed |
The inventory must reflect the deployed implementation. Descriptions of possible technologies do not establish that a particular technology is present.
9. Retention, Security, and Updates
The lifetime of a browser identifier is different from the retention period for information collected using it.
Our Privacy Policy explains broader retention and security practices. Browser storage should remain only for a period appropriate to its purpose and applicable law.
We update this Notice and its inventory when relevant practices change. New consent will be requested where a change requires it.
